Christmas is finally over:

Been a little slow typing in my daily thoughts I guess. I was under the weather again with my vertigo issue. It raised it's little head last Tuesday and one of my guys had to drive me home. For the next 3 days, I was a little unstable, but it has gotten better.

Grand children love me again after Xmas. I have been able to once again outfit them with McDonald's free-stuff. For the last 3 years I think, I have given them stuff that McDonald's hands out as free. "over the counter trinkets"

This year they received 2 erasers , 1 ruler, 1 calender, 1 scratch-pad, and 5 dollar in script.  The look I get from them is worth the price of the script.  The older ones think I'm nuts and the little ones just like the fact that they can now go there because they have the money.

As for the title, well we decided that we would celebrate Xmas as a family after everyone else has had theirs. When we where younger, it was always a battle as to where we would be at a certain time on a certain day.  I soon got to dislike Xmas time, because the closer it became, the more we had to run.  Now we just choose and enjoy.

Now if you really want ot know what the best gift was that was exchanged, it had to be the photo books  that Ruth made up for both Sandy and Mike. She took as many of the old pictures we had and we scanned them in, printed them out and she made up memory books.  Watching both of them review her handy work was priceless and they giggled over long forgotten outfits, and or facial changes.

Second had to be the Photo CD that Mike made for us. He worked on basically the same idea, but his was burned to a CD so that we could watch it on TV using a DVD player.  That was great.

Of course Sandy gave her dad a GPS mapping system for my laptop, so that he never gets lost again. (different story--different time)
Ruth received many nice gifts, but just watching her enjoy family was better the anything else.

You have to tell a story about why you got the pink flamingo and how his birth was born. Sandy
