Love your enemies. It will drive them crazy.

Love the title. It was posted at the end of a movie and I thought it was cute. I have heard this one more then once in my life time.  I can think of a few people where it would fit also.

It was kinda slow this weekend with no deep thoughts. Ruth reminded me that I was going to upgrade her computer as the older one was acting up. I started in on that Saturday, and at 6pm I gave up and went into the TV room. The machine is OK, the Operating System is OK, but that darn game she likes to play will not run correctly on a faster machine. It keeps getting some bogus error, and shuts down. Of course the game is so old, that the company that made it no longer has support on-line for it. I love computer games!!  They make me want to grab someone and just shake them.

By the way we had a enjoyable time that the last Chinese supper. (grin)   If you remember, one of the grandchildren told us that they where closing down China and that there would not be any more Chinese food. The joke is that the place we like to take her for Chinese food is being evicted. A bigger store wants the mall space and the restaurant needs to move.  We just don't know where that will be.

As a foot note we have had 2 Chinese restaurants  close down lately because of competition. It sure is getting tough in this world when people who come to this country to start a new life can't.

Now on to a little rant.
I just read this title about Iowa.
“Iowa lottery officials say they're not turning Iowa into a 99-county casino “

Who are they kidding. I grew up in Iowa and I always thought of it as a conservative “Right Leaning” state at the time. Then it decided to open a few dog tracks because the horse racing at the state fair always went over so well. Next thing there was horse racing, then there was river boat gambling. Now they even have gambling where there is no river. They have to build a pond to float the casino.

Now they have video gambling at gas stations. That was what this news article was all about.  I can't wait till they place a slot machine next to the toilets. At least thats a time when you have your pants down anyway. My point i,s that it sure looks like Iowa has rolled over, so that it is easier to get it's belly rubbed by someone.

I remember one of the 1st things IOWA did with some of the revenue that they took in with the river boat casinos. They spent it on billboard signs all over the state on how to notice someone with a gambling problem.  Heck I could have figured that out with out the billboard.  All you had to do is notices someone leave every morning with a fishing pole and lots of cash.

Take care all
