New Orleans population is growing:
Been fighting my little tipsy issue and it continues to hang with me, so I came home early again today. I can normally tell when the day will be long, as I wake up with brain fog, and my left ear will be ringing real loud. When its like that, then normally I can last till noon, and then it is wise to head home for a nap. If not, then it will get worse, and then I will end up with the vertigo and must sleep it off. As they always state it, “Damn its tough to get old.” I sure hope it leaves soon.
Anyway my thoughts for today is about New Orleans. I read an article this morning where they are starting to see an increase in new life in the city. The story is emerging much like when the lights went out in New York City back in 1965. The power grid had failed at Niagara Falls I believe and the whole North/East coast went dark. If you remember this, then you will remember that the big thing was all the people who were stuck in elevators, tall buildings, subways and such. News covered the dangers of it all, and how would people cope with no electricity.
Well everyone found out how people coped nine months later. Thats when the birth rate went off the charts, up and down the coast. This means there are a lot of 41 year old children who would not be working today if it wasn't for electricity and Tom Edison. There may be a few -- who want to thank the inventor of the elevator also, “MR OTIS”.
Like I stated, the article this morning was about the new life surfacing in New Orleans. It seems that this time, it is hurricane and fence related. Yes I stated Fence related!!! It appears to the humane society that Fido's fence was knocked down, and Fido had his way with the ladies. Puppies are showing up on a daily basis, with 25 + new puppies a day. Now the humane society is looking for assistance with all the added cost.
Where is FEMA when you need them!
