Yesterday was Sandy's Birthday.

The Sugar beet story will take a weekend break.

We celebrated it by have her family over for supper, along with cake and ice cream. A child of 36 has grown to enjoy family instead of gifts you see. There were gifts, but you can tell that it comes in second.

They showed up on schedule and once everyone was there, We blindfolded Sandy and hand-lead her into our garage. Of course she was a little nervous about this because this was not normal for birthday parties. Once inside we closed the garage door and much to her surprise Mom, Dad, along with assistance from Nikki had set up a birthday party game room. Complete with a Pinata full of candy. We also included the games “Pin the tail on the donkey”, and the thrilling game of “drop the cloths-pin into the fruit jar”.

After much giggling the games began. The grandkids really love it, as I guess Marissa stated after the Pinata was knocked down that this was the best day ever. By the way, when it was her turn to swing at the pinata, she demonstrated that she can defend herself. I never saw a little girl with a bat in hand, swing so fast and hard at something.

Sandy of course was 1st up at the pinata. Her eyes were covered, she was faced towards the hanging pinata and told to start swinging. What she didn't know at the time, was that I had tied a string to the pinata. Nikki quickly grabbed it and pulled the pinata out of the way. No matter where Sandy swung, she would be swinging the wrong way. Finally she gave up, lifted her blindfold, and the trick was over.

Any way happy Birthday Sandy

Dad and Mom still loves ya.
