How much can you shove into a playhouse:
Yesterday I decided to clean out/pack up the playhouse toys so that we can move it soon. Keep in mind that I haven't been in the play house for some time as I am a big guy and it is a play house. Anyway I opened the door and much to my surprise the first thing I see was a wheelbarrow. I pulled it out and wheeled it up to the garage. There I grabbed a large shipping box and headed back to the play house. I ducked into it, and then just sat down on my knees and stared. I could tell I would need another box.
I started to fill the first one, and when that was full, I shoved it out into the yard and then carried it to the trailer. I grabbed another large box and repeated the first steps. Once full I once again hauled it up to the trailer. By now my back was giving out, so I went into the house and called MR. DAD, (Lyle) and told him that when he picked up the little ones, that he was to bring them over and assist in cleaning things out. He agreed and later in the day they all showed up. Of course they made a be-line to my stash of hostess cupcakes and devoured a few of them before starting.
We then went down to the playhouse with yet another big box and started in again. The funny thing was instead of clearing the stuff out they decided to play inside. After harping at them a little we finally had the play house cleaned out and it is now ready to be dismantled and trucked back to Iowa. I would leave it, but everyone stated that it was built for the grandkids and it has to go with. So I guess we will spend one weekend and dismantle a 8X8 building that is roughly 16 feet tall.
Somehow I wish I had never had that beer and have a little 5 year old ask me to built a playhouse for her. I never knew it would require so much work and I would never had guessed that they would fill it like it was a 3 bedroom house.
Later
PS: Anyone need any toys. I can drop them off as I fly by with the trailer. I have no kids living in the house, but I sure have packed up the toys and bicycles.
