Tires go round and round

I just came back from the tire store. That was the quickest $1130.00 I ever spent. Man have the cost of tires gone up. Cost of 1 tire for the truck was $145.00. Add in all the other little things and it quickly added up to $156.00 and that didn't include the cost of alignment.

I think the tire resellers have taken the same action as the airlines have. If you want air with those tires, that will be $1.00 extra.

Anyway the rest of the cost was because of a tuneup that I also had them do. I had noticed that the engine was rocking a little so while they were doing the tires, I asked them to check it out. After a little bit they came back to the hostage area and showed me the rotor cap. It looked like I was only running on 5 of the 8 cylinders of the truck.

That just might explain why it took so much fuel to pull that little playhouse back to Iowa.

Bye Bye Gotta go see if I can take my afternoon nap now. Retired people do that I guess on a regular basis.
