Something to share

Well I just came off another bout with the flu/cold. Cassidy came out on Monday with it and by Wednesday, I was coming down with it. needless to say I don't toss them off as easy as I have before. After 2 bad days of it, I can finally think and also don;t have to worry that I am to far from a Kleenex box. The one thing I found out that I do miss, is I had no-one to call and inform them that I would not be at work due to a cold. I guess there is a drawback to retirement. Now Ruth is coming down with a sore throat, so I guess we continue to share things in this household.

Prior to this short outage where I didn't care about life, we have been busy putting things away. Yes the move is not complete and the real reason is that we have just plain run out of places to put things. Ruth has down a great job of clearing a lot of stuff up. Things are stuffed into closets and things are hung on walls. Yet when I walk around in the basement, or look at the garage, I don't see where we will put the remainder of stuff. In fact we still have the trailer parked in front as we are using it to store stuff till we find a place for it. This little factoid should concern our daughter/son-inlaw and they will understand why. Net is I came to this conclusion while resting in bed, that come Christmas, no gifts will be exchanged as we have no place to put them. I believe we have everything we will ever need for the next 20 years.

In fact yesterday, I noticed that the girl lawn statue committed suicide by leaping into pond. I saw her floating face down in the pond among the grass clippings. I guess it just was too much for her also.

Later

PS: Did I tell you that it has been windy here!
