I was going to become a vegetarian but I found out it would kill me!
I sure am glad that I was never a true vegetarian as my doctor had recommended. He was always stating that he wanted to see less and less of me. I thought he didn't want me to show up at the office but he was referring to my weight. Every 6 months I would stop in to see what complaints he had for me. Most of the time he would check my blood pressure, thump my chest and poke at my belly button. Then he would have me sit back up and precede to tell me that he wanted less of me to show up.
The topic always went the same in that I should walk more and eat less. I should stay away from fatty foods and to cut down on red meat. In my mind this meant that I should stop enjoying the good stuff in life and sit down at the table where nothing but green stuff was served. Man am I glad I didn't follow his advise!
The reason is that the green stuff could have killed me. About 2 weeks ago the spinach sold in this country was recalled because of E-Coli issues. That was the 1st bullet I missed and boy am I glad I didn't go green. Now I find out that lettuce has been recalled for the same reason. That means the 2nd bullet missed me.
I don't know about you, but I think I will stay with red meats, eggs, and whole milk. It's not going to be any safer, but at least I will enjoy my walk towards the end.
Also you should rememeber that there is always room for "JELLO"
