Friends are like butt cheeks!

Crap may separate them once in a while, but they will always come back together.

Cute right. Well today has been a crappy day so I thought I would toss a little humor in.

I found out today I sold a computer over the Internet and the credit card info was stolen. That means I had shipped a unit I thought was paid for and someone was going to get off with it. That alone was bad enough, but then I figured I would be out the computer and the shipping cost. Shipping overnight is not cheap yet they claimed they paid for it which they did. Keep in mind that the credit card info was stolen so I would be the one to be left with the empty bag.

Once I figured out what was going on, I jumped on the phone and dialed “1800-help-me-please” to the shipper. When I dialed that number all I got was a sweet little voice that stated it would help me, but that sweet little voice didn't understand that I wanted to talk to a human. Lucky for me, Ruth was able to talk to this automated system and it understood her. Soon we had a real person who sounded like they knew something. At least she didn't ask me to punch “8” for further help.

Of course, this person had to hand me off to another after she figured out I was in need of some assistance. The sad part, we then interrupted the second person on his break, as he could only tell me to continue watching their web site and once I see that it was at it's destination, I could contact them again to see if they could return it. DAHH!

I mean this company does billions in moving stuff from point A to point B. They do it very well with all their trucks and airplanes. They move stuff from your doorstep to any point in this world. And this dude tells me that I have to sit and monitor their tracking systems because they have no way of doing it.

Right now I was a little perplexed and frustrated. Both at me and now at one of the largest trucking firms in the world. So I went upstairs, poured me a DEW and sat down on the couch.

I logged into their tracking system and started to watch their system. Then I decided to go up town and talk to the local people and am I thankfully.

I talked to the 1st clerk and as I informed her I wanted to stop a shipment from delivery because of a bad credit transaction, the supervisor came over. He asked a few questions and then went back to his office. A few minutes later he came out and stated the box would be stopped and rerouted back to me. I shook his hand and my faith in the company was restored. Hopefully we will see the laptop back in a few days.

Of course there is more to this and tomorrow will be spent on chasing down other details. Right now I am busy watching their system!
