Monkey Butt goes to school

I have to tell everyone a story about something that turned out great. Awhile back I was going thru a store and noticed a can of specialized talcum powder. What made me stop and pick it up was the name and the logo. You see the powder was called "Anti Monkey Butt" and it had a logo across the front of "YOU GUESSED IT!" a monkeys red butt.

So I did the most thinkable thing and I purchased 2 cans. I didn't know what I was going to do with it, but I knew someone was going to get a can as a gift real soon. I also knew someone used that term around me, but I couldn't remember who. I showed the stuff to a few people and we all joked about it. Then one day my son in-law shows up from Wisconsin and a light when on , it was him.

So I went out and got a can, and gave it too him as a gift. Of course he looks at the can and grins. He corrects me in that he wasn't the "monkey butt", but that he always called his youngest a "monkey butt" when they horsed around. So he takes it home at gives it to her as a gift.

Now the story gets good.

A week or a few days go by and late one afternoon we receive a phone call from the son in-law. He wants me and when I get to the phone he is laughing pretty good. He tells me that when his daughter gets home from work, I was going to be getting another phone call from one upset mother. After a few more chuckles from him, he precedes to tell me that when he picked up his little daughter from school, something fell out of her backpack. Yep, she had taken the can of "Anti Monkey Butt" to school for nothing else but SHOW and TELL.

I never did hear what she had to say about it, but I have to believe any story she would have stated had to be funny. Anyway he was right, We received that phone call, and what I remember of that one, was that they didn't want to show their face around school after that, or was it they didn't want to show Monkey Butts anymore.

Foot note:

As I was about to publish this story, I received an update. I guess the parents of this wise child met the teacher. Story is, our lovely granddaughter went up and down each row of children so they all got to see up close what a true Monkey Butt was. I guess the teacher enjoyed the whole thing.
