Sitting in the sun!
Hi all. Yesterday was a day of watching the dollars flow. We had a major/minor issue with the camper. Minor in that the lift system in the front broke. Major in that I would not be able to hook the trailer back up until it was fixed.
As luck would have it when we asked around for a good place to call, everyone pointed to lot 115 within the park. As it turned out, there was a guy who fixed just about anything. He had a truck, trailer, plus a living trailer right here. He came over and looked things over to see what it might take. As it turned out, I had sheared a gear up in the lift system when I pulled it out of the snow. It took most of the day, but he was able to pull the hardware, spot the issue, order parts and have it all back together in a day.
He will be back today to fix the front sheet metal, as it all came loose again. I think I referenced earlier that we bucked 40mph winds one day. Well it got in under the sheet metal and pulled it all loose. He has a good idea on how to fix it, so we are letting him do that also. If not then its duck-tape all in the front and away we go.
Ruth of course had him look at the LP system. She was always smelling gas, and I was always telling her that it was her. As much as I hate to admit it, she was right. He was able to locate a leak at the furnace and was able to correct that issue. What this means is that I will have to listen to her all the way home that she was right. Man that is going to be a long drive back cross-country.
While to guy was working on the trailer, we started to talk to the people next door. They are from Canada, and of all things, live on a island. She was constantly stating that they were floating around out in the Pacific. They had to take a ferry to get home. Cool people.
Later as I think I'll go out and soak up some sun.
