They eat big in Texas

If you ever need a big steak, you have to stop in Amarillo Texas.

I need to catch up on the stories I guess. Ruth and I were on our way across Texas, when I started to see signs about the biggest steak in the US. I told Ruth we need to stop there and see what it was all about. I had seen a review of the steak house on TV and being we would be driving by, we would stop.

What the deal is you must eat the 72 ounce steak along with all the fixings. If you do that within one hour, the meal was free. I asked the waitress how many have attempted this and she thought it was around 65,000 people have attempted it. 1 in 7 make it.

Ruth and I both agree that we would NOT attempt it as we had a long drive in front of us. We did have nice steaks, and the biggest “hot fudge sunday”. All was good and we enjoyed looking around. The building is interesting and I will have to tell ya all about it later.
