Well I did it again.

Hi guys: I bet ya wondered what the heck happened to me again. Well I wonder the same thing from time to time but I have to share this story.

Last weekend I was down by the barn when I decided to go around back to count horses. If you don't know what that means, just ask any guy farmer and they will tell ya. While counting the horses, I noticed that the ground I was standing on was really wet, and that I have to get around to cutting down the tree I was standing next to. The tree was growing wild plus it was in a bad spot plus. Now keep in mind the ground was real wet.

Anyway, after I concluded the counting of horses, I zipped up and spun around to walk back to the front where Ruth was at. It was then I found that the real horses had been there and and I stepped right into a hole made by them. Their hooves had punched really nice holes all around.

You guessed it, I twisted my ankle and was going down for the count. Did I tell ya that the real horses liked to back up in the same area to take a dump. Yep, I not heard the cracking of my ankle but now I had to contend with falling into their golden/processed/further-enhanced grass dumping area.

A sickening feeling was coming over me as I crashed to the ground, and it was not because my ankle would swell up like a small orange. Nope I was sick cause I was having flash backs to my fall in Arizona, but much worse. At least in Arizona, I would only suck up gravel when I fell. Now I had the horse doo-doo racing up to my head and it looked fairly fresh.

Bang I'm down with a thud and I slowly open my eyes as I am afraid of what I would smell/see. There less then 4 inches from my nose is that freshly made pile and it looked like it had been messed with. Thats when I thought to my self, "OH SH%T", but much to my surprise, when I rolled over and attempted to stand up, I saw no stain marks, nor could I smell any. Of course by now my ankle was telling me that I was clumsy and that I shouldn't stand up, but I was in the mist of all that Horse doo-doo and I wanted out.

Once up I found that I had missed all the horse droppings so I felt lucky. I hopped out front to Ruth and had her look at my ankle to see what she thought. I am happy to say, nothing was broke, but it sure did swell up so I have been limping around for a few days. It is getting better as I can at least walk, but I sure am careful walking around the yard now.

One other thing, I sure won't miss those horse either when Mike moves them. I need all the space I can get for falling, and I don't need DOO-DOO in the way when I do.
