The other day I climbed into the truck and headed off to town for breakfast. As stated before, I need coffee and at least two papers in the morning or I don’t function well.
An article about Americans gaining weight was read and I thought about my weight. After reading the article, I decided to cut back, so I didn’t finish the breakfast I was having. I did this by not eating the top half of the bagel I had purchased.
I figured that was a good start.
After reading the papers I decided to head off and do what I normally do. I drove home in my truck and right away jumped into the golf cart. We purchased the cart last year because it had a utility box mounted on the back and it would be handy to have.
I drove around the house and checked out the KOI pond. The cart is handy here because I can tool around the pond to check everything out, while sitting in the shade.
Then I drove over to the bird feeder and refilled it with feed we carried in the back. No longer did I have to carry seed from the garage.
Next I drove off to the barn so as I could climb aboard the riding lawn mower and clip a few spots that seem to not be affected by lack of rain. All the time, thinking about that article.
After completing the mowing job, I parked it back in the barn, jumped back into the golf cart and headed to the front of the barn. There I had a soda and swept up the floor. Then sat in the rocker. The rocker sure is handy when you have a busy day down there like I had.
After resting, I took off in the cart to see if anyone was around in the area but alas everyone else was working so I drove on home. Of course I am still thinking about that article.
Later that evening, we had a nice supper and I told Ruth about the article, and that I was just like all the others in American. I just couldn’t seem to loose any weight, so it must be genetics or the people around me like the article stated.
What do you all think? Is it genetics. I would ponder more about this, but my favorite TV show is about to begin, and I need to locate that remote control.
