Lunar eclipse was a dark moment for me!

Not sure how many of you watched the eclipse last night. An eclipse is when the earth or the moon moves between each other in direct line of the sun, thus blotting out the other. Anyway last night it was to happen at about CST. The earth lined up in the middle and it was suppose to be cool, but I didn't think so because of some smart-ass.

Early on, the moon did come up and it was a cold clear night in Iowa. In-fact the moon was so brightly lit that it reminded me of the eclipse. So I sat there watching TV and watching the moon rise. Then just like they stated in the paper around 9:00pm the moon started to change colors. Instead of a bright yellowish- white, it started to turn to a cool yellow and then orange and you could see the edge of the earth move into view. The process had started.

I watched with intent and the colors continued to change and the earth image got bigger and bigger. I watch with enthusiasm as I was going to see something that will NOT happen again till 2010. In-fact around 9:10 I finally quit watching TV and turned my full attention to the show outside.

At 9:15 I was off the couch with anticipation of watching a full lunar eclipse and then it happened. Some smart ass turned off the outside light show and I couldn't see a damn thing. Man was I irritated that someone would turn off the light-show as I couldn't see the moon anymore.

Soon after that I saw the color were slowly turning back to orange again and I watched as the earth slowly moved over the moon. Everything was back to normal in a short time and the moon reflection was filling the area as it had before.

I sure would like to find the guy who turned off all the light when this thing was suppose to be at it's best.

Anyone know who it was?
