Went to MPLS over the weekend

Spent time in MPLS area over the weekend. Had a confirmation party there thus we went to wish the gal well, and also to check out a house her parents were building. The house was nice and once 100% I'm sure they will be glad. There was one thing that was interesting in the house.

While sitting in the garage (in-floor heating in this area) of the new house I noticed there was a plastic basin commonly used a wash basin, sitting on the floor right under two water spouts. Now keep in mind that this is normal except the basin was on the floor with no legs. The hot and cold water faucets were right above it or about 15 inches.

Now when your sitting there bored and looking at that, you have to think. "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT FOR?". Did someone read the blueprint plans wrong.

So I asked. It was a doggy bath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep they had installed in-floor heating and a doggy-bath for their pet. It even gets better!!. Because it was installed in a garage, zoning required that they glue the basin to the floor and install a curb to hold back auto-fluids. There had to be a pump installed so that the water was pumped up, then into the house so that it had to pass through a filter and a sensor. The sensor would detect oil/gas in the water. Then the water was discharged into their septic system.

I guess a water hose outside was to much for their dog. I never did ask what would happen if the dog pee'd in the sink!!!. Would the sensor go off.!

Later :-)
