Kinda like my new job

Today was the start of my new job. I think I will like it. I was very nervous about starting it, but as the day wore on, it got easier and easier. I will even give you a play by play of how the day went.

At 9:00am I left for town to read the paper and drink coffee. But before I could even sit down with the paper, my cell phone rang. Thinking it was my new boss, I answered.

Instead it was the little wife, and she informed me Sis was stuck at a gas station with car trouble. Of course this took high priority! Her hubby was about to have looky-see surgery. He had spent the night in the hospital. (as of this writing I don't know what the outcome is. )

What concerns me is he had the same oyster soup I had a few nights before at their place.)

The belt had burned up on her car and smoked just 7 blocks from the hospital. I assisted her with getting that to a garage and then took her to see how hubby was doing.

Next I headed off to a tire shop to have a tire fix. We were on our way yesterday to have a meal with family when a back tire blew. A chunk of tire was missing from the tread and I think I know how it happened. She negotiate around 3 dead coons on the highway and I think one of them gave a mighty trust of its leg bone and tore up the tire. We didn't get 3 miles down the road when it went flat. Needless to say I found out that if a raccoon leg bone tears up your tire, it is not considered a road-hazard and I had to buy a new tire.

I think the raccoon would beg to differ that the road was a hazard.

Anyway my new boss called me about then and stated that some hardware he needed to give me was not in yet. He was going to delay meeting with me. I was instructed to wait for his phone call and we would set a time to meet. I went home then and waited. Basically I did the same think I did last week. I sat in the house and watched the stock market channels all day. Every once in a while I would play with the puppy.

I kinda like my new job. At least the stress levels are right.
