Call me back right away!

OK:

Yesterday I had a dispatch that took 3 hours to get to. Not because of bad roads, but it just takes that long.  When I got there, I pulled out a piece of thread that was hanging in front of the machine camera causing it to not register product returns.

This is a tough job, but someone has to do it.

Anyway, as I was heading back, I was talking to my boss, ( sitting at a overpass) when I received a second incoming call. Of course you never hang up on your boss, right!

When done, I dialed into VM and it was Ruth's voice and she sound stressed. All she said was CALL ME BACK RIGHT AWAY!

When I did she didn’t answer, so I called the house number. She didn’t answer. I waited 10 minutes and called again. She didn’t answer! I waited 15 minutes more and still she didn’t answer.

Now I’m getting concerned cause she normally doesn’t sound so excited. My mind goes to “Who passed away”, “Who was in a car accident” , “Who was injured at work”?

So for the next 30 minutes or so, I am thinking about this and should I turn north to go home, or head south to another dispatch.  My mind was thinking north as I raced down the highway.

Finally she answered the call about 45 minutes later and the sound of stress was not in her voice. So I asked her what was so important that I had to call back right away.

Now think about it and what would be your guess.

Yep your right, she wanted to know how to get the snow-blower started!

Now I am in a pickle.

Should I yell at her that she had all kinds of things running thru my mind as I race down the road, or should i just let dead dogs lie and tell her she did a good job of blowing snow, once she got it started?
